Victoria
Strengths
A former bodybuilder and fitness champion, Victoria brings one of the most lethal combinations of strength and skill ever seen on the women’s circuit. She has the endurance to last longer than most of her female competitors, and her physical prowess and intensity give her an immediate advantage over nearly everyone she faces. Victoria is also unafraid of taking her attack to the air, utilizing a moonsault at times.
Weaknesses
Victoria doesn’t have a lengthy resume of in-ring experience compared to some of the other former champions. Also, anytime you employ high-risk maneuvers like Victoria, there’s always a chance for something to go painfully wrong.
Key Wins
Victoria’s first major win came during Survivor Series in 2002 when she defeated Trish Stratus for the Women’s Championship in a Hardcore Match. Victoria used a fire extinguisher to wallop Trish before securing the historic victory. Victoria’s second reign came on Raw in February of 2004 during a Fatal Four-Way. She outlasted Jazz, Lita and Molly Holly, who was champion at the time.
Key Losses
Victoria managed to keep her title for nearly five months before Trish won a Triple-Threat Match at Wrestlemania XIX in Seattle, Washington. The match also included Jazz. This was a particularly frustrating loss as Victoria had Trish set up for the Widow’s Peak before Trish suddenly reversed the move. Trish foiled Victoria again in a Fatal Four-Way at Bad Blood 2004. Victoria lost her title without ever being pinned as Trish recorded the deciding fall over Lita. At Unforgiven 2004, she lost to Trish in a match for the Women’s Championship.
Finishing Move
The Widow’s Peak is one of the more devastating maneuvers any Superstar, male or female, utilizes in WWE. With her back pressed firmly against her opponent’s back, Victoria grabs her foe’s neck under the chin while lifting her. At this point, her opponent is usually gasping for any air intake she can get. While doing this, Victoria wraps her legs around her opponent’s legs so as to ensure there is no escape. Then in an instant, Victoria drops to the mat, nearly breaking her opponent’s neck.
Strategy
There’s no doubt Victoria would want to push the pace of this match, making Sherri move quicker and more often than she ever has before. If Victoria gets her opponent on the run, normally she can outlast them and eventually put them away with the terrifying Widow’s Peak.
Final Analysis
Sherri might have the edge in ring savvy, especially when you consider her lengthy and successful career as a meddling manager over the years. Still, Victoria has simply overpowered many opponents during her time in WWE, and she would have the edge in strength in this matchup. Also, Victoria has faced tougher competition than Sherri, as the Women’s Championship has become a high-profile title in recent years. Certainly, WWE fans would be treated to an incredible showdown between two of the most popular and powerful women in wrestling history.
