GENIUS ADVICE
It’s not string theory, just good common-sense tips from Victoria.
Melts in your mouth…
I hate getting flowers. It’s so played out. Guys think it’s an easy way to your heart, but it’s lame. Chocolate, on the other hand, is a timeless gift. Never fails.
Change is good…
I throw all my loose change in the ashtray of my car. I always see homeless people on the street corners, and I can get to it quickly. I’m not one of those people who can turn a blind eye to that stuff–I have to give back.
Pass on he-bags…
Man-purses are definitely not attractive. The “European leather carryall”–no way. Such a turnoff. I don’t mind change purses, though. At least those can be tucked away in your pocket, not draped over your shoulder.
Lock your phone…
Don’t drink and dial. I’m the worst when it comes to drunk dialing. I’ll call you, and suddenly you’re the best friend I ever had. I go on and on. Just like there should be a designated driver, there should be a designated phone holder, so you can’t do too much damage.
Erase the past…
Delete your ex from your phone as soon as you’ve broken up. If you don’t, you’ll regret it when you accidentally call them (maybe when you’re drunk). Delete it right away, and never look back.
Give as good as you get…
I’m not a vengeful person. But stab me in the back, and all bets are off. You’re going to pay.
Keep it real…
The most annoying thing in the world is when people try to get attention. Trying too hard to be funny or cool or dramatic is awful. There’s a time and a place for that sort of thing, especially in this business, but in everyday life, it’s important not to be fake.
Know your bragging rights…
If you can back it up, it’s definitely cool to talk a big game. Make sure you tow the line between being cocky and being proud of your accomplishments. But if you can walk the walk, talk the talk for sure.
Let’s talk about sex…
Guys should really watch Sex and the City. I know most guys hate it, but there are four girls on the show, and each of them represents qualities that most girls have, even if they are obnoxiously exaggerated. Guys could really learn something about not playing games if they’d watch just one episode of that show.
