The Divas are the busiest women in sports-entertainment, but some of the Sexiest Women on Television still find time to watch their favorite shows. Victoria, Jillian, Kelly Kelly, Melina, Maria, Michelle McCool, Vickie Guerrero, Cherry and Mickie James talk tube. Also, Maria clicks her heels in her new Jessica Simpson shoes.
Tuning in
May Sweeps is in full swing, as some of TV’s best season finales, series finales and specials are airing before the summer. While most of the Sexiest Women on Television don’t often have much time to watch the tube – other than Raw, SmackDown and ECW, of course – several of the Divas shared their TV-watching habits with Diva Dish.
“The Office is my No. 1 favorite,” Victoria said. “I love Dwight Schrute. He’s a babe. I love him. He’s my favorite character.”
Victoria said Dwight’s secret office romance with Angela cracks her up, and admitted she thinks Jim is a hottie, even though he’s always making dopey expressions to the camera.
“If I were Jim, I’d take Pam over Karen. Personality-wise, she’s funny and sweet. They have history. Karen’s the new girl on the block,” the Raw Diva said.
Victoria’s other faves include The Sopranos, Project Runway, Top Design, Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, Strangers with Candy and Arrested Development.
SmackDown’s resident songstress said she’s a fan of VH1’s “Celebreality” shows.
“I like I Love New York and Flavor of Love – those kinds of shows,” Jillian said. “I used to watch more TV, but since I’ve been on the road, it’s hard to keep up with stuff. So anything that VH1 shows 50 times, I can keep up with.”
Kelly Kelly said she has love for New York, too.
“I Love New York is my favorite show. My favorite guy was Mr. Boston. He got voted off, but he was always standing there, picking his nose or doing something crazy. He was really funny,” the ECW Diva laughed. “I also love Chance because he was just like Flavor Flav.”
Melina is a self-proclaimed TV-a-holic, and catches up with all her favorite shows when they’re released on DVD, mostly.
“I like Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Sleeper Cell, Dresden Files, Heroes – now that’s an awesome show! I love dramas,” the Women’s Champion said. “I also like Supernatural. 24 is awesome.”
Lost made the list with several of the Divas, including Maria, who said it’s her dream to star on the mysterious drama as a Dharma Initiative scientist.
“Lost is my favorite. If anybody can get me on Lost, just call WWE and I’ll be on the show next week,” the Raw Diva giggled. “I don’t care if I’m a wild woman running through the forest! No makeup? I don’t care. A 10-second spot? You got it! That’s me – I’m your girl!”
Maria’s other favorites include Entourage, Heroes and The Girls Next Door, which is about Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and his three girlfriends who live at the Playboy Mansion, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.
“I really love The Girls Next Door. They are so cute! I want to meet them, because I think they’re adorable,” Maria said. “I really like watching the show because you see Hef’s girlfriends’ goals and aspirations, and just how cute they are.”
Michelle McCool’s TiVo is set to record The Girls Next Door, too.
“I like The Girls Next Door. I must say they make me laugh! Kendra’s probably my favorite. She’s very funny. Maybe she’s not as bright as the other two, but that’s what makes me laugh. She’s just going to say what’s on her mind” Michelle told Diva Dish.
“I also like Kendra’s athleticism. But other than The Girls Next Door and WWE, I’m not a really big TV person. I watch ESPN, whatever sports games are on, though,” the SmackDown Diva said.
As previously reported in Diva Dish, SmackDown’s Vickie Guerrero is a big fan of Smallville, which she records and watches as soon as she gets home.
“I love Smallville, baby! My man, Lex Luthor – I have to support him every week. It’s so good,” Vickie smiled. “I have to TiVo it because I’m not home much, but I always look forward to snuggling on the couch and watching it.”
When Cherry’s not out cruisin’ with Deuce and Domino, the SmackDown Diva lives up to her sweet name.
“I like to bake, so I love watching the Food Network shows, and learning the history of food. I love Paula Deen, she’s so cute!” Cherry smiled. “I also like Work Out on Bravo and The Hills on MTV.”
Between traveling with WWE, studying for her college degree and spending time with her animals, Mickie James said there’s almost zero time for television.
“I don’t really get a chance to watch TV that often, with my horses and ferrets and everything,” the Raw Diva said. “But if I could, I like the CSI shows and Family Guy.”
Click your heels
Raw’s resident fashionista, Maria, said it’s not uncommon for her to plan outfits around her shoes. One off her favorite footwear designers is also one of today’s hottest starlets – Jessica Simpson.
“When I travel I’ll bring my black boots; brand-new, gray chunky-heeled shoes; my wrestling boots and my Jessica Simpson black heels. She has a great shoe line. They are very comfy, actually,” Maria said. “And I like this year’s line, because the peep-toe is smaller. Peep-toe last year was too big. This year, it’s much smaller, and it fits your foot better.”
